RobQuant is a UK company formed by quantum technology and life science experts. We harness the scalability and adaptability of silicon technology to manufacture semiconductor-based quantum sensors at scale.
Our core technical team is led by chief technologist Agnethe Seim Olsen and chief scientist Dr Joe Smith. RobQuant’s business strategy is supported by Dr Dean Carroll and Sam Smith.
Agnethe Seim Olsen
Agnethe is a PhD researcher in AI at the University of Cardiff with over a decade of experience in applying machine learning to solve practical problems across experimental physics, communication and biosciences. She leads the software development of both our sensing system and mobile electromagnet product.
Dr Joe Smith
Joe is a senior researcher at the University of Bristol. He identifies as a “quantum engineer” with a track record of engaging across discipline boundaries to strike forward new technology. He is focused on using innovation in semiconductors to deliver integrated quantum sensors at scale.
Dr Dean Carroll
Dean is a scientist and entrepreneur. Over the last five years, he has been involved in strategy across several life science startups, securing prestigious innovation grants. He supports our funding applications.
Sam Smith
Sam is a European Patent Attorney with a BSc in biochemistry, having experience in a wide range of developing technologies in the life sciences sector. His knowledge of patent law helps guide RobQuant’s IP strategy.
